Welcome to Japan!
We arrived in Tokyo safely. Thank you all for coming to SFO. Our flight was very smooth, and actually arrived one hour early.
We checked in a hotel around 11:00 PM here.
Our second day in Japan will start early so students went to sleep (I hope).

こんにちは!(konnichiwa!)
The class of 2012 graduated last week, and now it's a time for our biennial trip to Japan. Especially, this year's trip is a special one for all of us. Washington HS students had raised over $13,000 to support our newest sister school in Tohoku, where the earthquake hit hardest. We will present the relief funds to the school and visit locations of the disaster.
What makes Japan so unique? Everyone can give a different answer for that. This year's trip participants will explore Japan through their eyes and discover many aspects of Japanese cultures through their views. We will leave for Japan on Tuesday, May 29. After arriving in Haneda, Tokyo, we will start our journey from Miyajima, one of the world heritage sites in Japan.
We will take a turn to write a blog, sharing our experiences, new discoveries, and adventures! So come back and visit this blog from time to time!
