Day 6: Nara / Namba

Hi everyone! I am going to blog today. Our sixth day in Japan started out with buffet style breakfast again. We started our day later this morning, around 10 o'clock, so we ate breakfast later than normal and we had a little time to sleep in. After breakfast we left the hotel and headed to the train station. We got on the train, transferred at Namba, and had a 40 minute train ride to Nara. In Nara we went to visit Todai-Ji Temple. Nara is known for it's temples, deer, and giant Buddha. On the walk from the station to the temple, we saw a ton of deer all over the place. Even though they are very cute, if you have the deer senbei they chase you and bite your clothes and butt.

Todai-Ji temple is the largest wooden structure in the world. It was my second time visiting Todai-ji Temple. The first time I went I was amazed at how large the Buddha was. The second time, I left feeling amazed. The Buddha is so large and walking through the temple was fun.

After we finished at Todai-ji temple we went back to the train station and went back to Namba. Namba is a place with a lot of stores. Sensei took us to look around and showed us where we'd be meeting tomorrow, then he set us free. We had free time in Naamba from around 4-5 o clock and I did some shopping. Everyone met back up around 5 o'clock to eat dinner. Sensei took us to an okonomiyaki restaurant. They cooked it right in front of us and it was interesting to watch and it was delicious! I took a ton of pictures :)

After dinner we had some more free time. We walked around Namba some more and then came back to the hotel. Tomorrow is our last day in Osaka and then we'll be headed to Tokyo!

That's all for now
